As far as EMC's teleology, it's pretty simple to me: - information is becoming the single most important asset in our world. - organizations everywhere are struggling to manage information the same way they manage money (e.g. a CFO-like function) - EMC's existence is predicated on the belief that organizations everywhere will need tools, technology and process to manage information like money, e.g. information infrastructure. As far as EMC’s teleology, it’s pretty simple to me:
